Proven track record managing a P&L in a high-growth environment (fintech, payments or adjacent preferred). Data-literate, comfortable driving high-stakes conversations with Marketing, BD and Insights. Operates like a Country Manager — drives results, not just coordination. Bonus: deep cultural/economic understanding of Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe or other high-volume corridors; experience with international money transfer licensing/compliance; built reporting frameworks for regional commercial teams; fluency in a regional primary language. AI literacy and practical experience using AI tools professionally.
Permanent, remote-UK role owning the Anglophone Africa P&L at Zepz — the company behind WorldRemit and Sendwave.
Zepz — the power behind WorldRemit and Sendwave — is hiring a Regional Commercial Manager for Anglophone Africa. Sitting in the Commercial Performance team and reporting to the Head of Commercial Performance, this is a commercial ownership role (not a traditional finance position). You carry the number for the region and act as its commercial architect, setting the agenda with Marketing and BD, mobilising every function and removing roadblocks. Focus areas: explicit budget and full P&L accountability for Anglophone Africa (revenue, CAC, new customers, unit economics, LTV and trading metrics); defining monthly corridor targets and the investment envelope; briefing Marketing on regional needs; partnering with Business Development on new opportunities and risk; working with Data Insights to generate hypotheses, interpret performance and pivot strategy; building business cases and financial models to influence cross-functional prioritisation. This is a new function at Zepz — you'll help define how it operates and build the playbook as you go.
